YOLA COLLECTION
Based in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and led by Bernadette Agano, Chief Advocacy Officer of USASO, YOLA Collection is a humanitarian charity group that provides survivors of Slavery and human trafficking with a real space and environment for healing. People who have experienced war and violent armed conflict trauma are met with a holistic educational creative therapy through a variety of methods that promote peace. Through education, art, music & singing classes, dance & movement, fashion, styling, makeup training for girls, acting and performance, sports, as well as design and creativity workshops, the organization offers both adult and young survivors a path to safe, stable, healthy futures. The humanitarian initiative conducts virtual video sessions as well for all citizens interested in becoming community support leaders and freedom activists for change.Emphasizing themes of claiming individuality, courage to express oneself, rebuilding confidence, discovering identity, and restoring human dignity, Yola Academy USASO aims to bring joy, creativity, and purpose to the lives of survivors and all who feel morally compelled to join the calling for justice.
BRYAN INNOVATIVE CONSULTING
Bryan Innovative Consulting is a human justice strategy firm founded by Bruce Bryan, USASO Co-CEO and a human justice ambassador whose work is rooted in lived experience. After surviving a wrongful conviction and 30 years of unjust incarceration and prison Slavery before being granted clemency, Bruce has turned his story of perseverance into a mission: helping charity organizations, advocates, and communities build more humane, equitable approaches to freedom. The firm brings this powerful perspective to every engagement, offering strategic guidance, partnership building, and advocacy that center the dignity and potential of people affected by the justice system. Drawing on Bruce's experience in client advocacy and his work with justice reform organizations in the U.S. and abroad, Bryan Innovative Consulting bridges the gap between policy, practice, and the people most impacted, helping clients turn their commitment to justice into meaningful, lasting change.
EYES OPEN INTERNATIONAL
Eyes Open International is a 501C3 nonprofit organization working to end human trafficking and modern-day slavery through survivor-informed advocacy and empowerment. Co-founded by its president and USASO Director, Harold D'Souza, a survivor of labor trafficking, the organization uses grassroots approaches to help victims reclaim their lives and move forward with dignity, hope, and independence. Its work spans awareness campaigns, training workshops, seminars, and speaking engagements that teach communities to recognize trafficking, which often hides in plain sight in neighborhoods across the United States and around the world. The organization also advises government agencies on survivor-led strategies, and its team has spoken at Harvard University and before the United Nations on preventing labor and debt bondage, with engagements reaching India, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Guided by the belief that awareness is the first step toward freedom, Eyes Open International equips individuals and communities to face exploitation with their eyes open.
